MicroMapper™ network cable tester verifies wiremap and identifies faults with LEDs.
The cable tester identifies wiring faults including shorts, crossed and reversed wires, and split pairs, and verifies shield integrity in copper cabling. A remote identifier enables one-person testing and a debug mode provides detailed fault identification results. The built-in tone generator produces two tones, and can be used with Fluke Networks IntelliTone Pro Probe or any analog probe to trace and locate cables hidden in walls, ceilings, and floors (probe not included). The auto-sleep mode decreases battery consumption when not in use. LEDs identify faults in existing cable and indicate a low-battery. The MicroMapper quickly and easily tests twisted pair cabling, giving you visibility of opens, shorts, crossed, reversed and split pairs. Just push the TEST button and MicroMapper will automatically scan all wire pairs for any existing faults in your cable. Choosing the right tool for the job---verification tools are typically used by technicians who pull and terminate cable or perform basic moves, adds and changes. These tools are used as a first line of defense in finding connection and wire-pairing faults.
