Jokari Tools from L H Dottie

Safety. Precision. Versatility.

Cables and wires come in all sorts of sizes and bundles. Stripping and separating cables is not only time-consuming, but it can also be dangerous. Lacerations and fatigue are just some of the many afflictions that can affect installers who strip cables. L. H. Dottie developed its line of Jokari tools to help electrical contractors strip cables safely and efficiently.

Meet the Lineup

L. H. Dottie’s line of precision tools were designed with safety, efficiency, and ease of installation in mind. Jokari tools are ergonomic and precise, which cuts down on fatigue and produces more consistent cable strips. That kind of efficiency alone will do wonders for your Total Cost of Install, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. With Jokari tools, you’ll ramp up safety, decrease installation time, and clear up space in your toolbox:

  • The Secura No. 27 Cable Knife (8 – 28 mm Ø 5/16” – 1.1/8” Ø) is your go-to tool for stripping round cables. It features an ergonomic thumb grip, as well as blades coated with Titanium Nitride, for extra durability and precision. The dual-compound handle and thumb pad provide a better grip and added safety. If your blades ever do wear out, there’s a spare blade in the handle.
  • The Super 4 Plus Automatic Wire Stripper (0.2 – 6.0 mm² | AWG 24 – 10) makes quick work of solid and stranded wires. You don’t need to adjust for diameter, so your efficiency will be at an all-time high.
  • The FKZ Flat Cable Stripper (12 mm | max. 1/2” mm² 0.75 – 2.5 AWG 18 – 10) automatically strips PVC-insulated flat twin and earth cables. In just one pass, this handy tool removes the external sheathing and insulation of the internal conductor. For even easier installations, this tool features a built-in wire-bending hole for conductor terminations.
  • The CAT Cable Stripper (Ø 4.5 – 10 mm | 3/16” – 3/8”) is a must-have when you’re working with CAT cables. Whether you’re stripping CAT5, CAT7, or twisted-pair cables, the CAT Cable Stripper slices through PVC insulation and sheathing like a knife through butter. Since you don’t have to make cutting depth adjustments, you’ll get the same strip every time.
  • Last, but not least, is the PWS-Plus Series Micro-Precision Stripping Tool. Whether you’re working on a precision electronics or communications install, this compact wire stripper does it all. With an integrated cable cutter and adjustable length stop, you only need one tool to get the job done. Wire ranges: 0.12 to 0.40 mm Ø | AWG 36 – 26 (Item # 40024), 0.25 to 0.80 mm Ø | AWG 30 – 20 (Item # 40025), and 0.30 to 1.00 mm Ø | AWG 28 – 18 (Item # 40026).
