Thad Ward is the North American Product Line Manager for Converged Instruments and Virtualized Test. He is responsible for Home and Field test instruments covering technologies of copper, fiber, Wireless, XDSL and IP services. Thad has been helping customers resolve difficult network problems and plan for network upgrades in the Access and Residential network for 15 years. He is currently working with several customers on test strategies for FTTH and, which is the next evolution in XDSL. Through his positions at TTC, Acterna, JDSU, and Viavi Solutions, Thad has developed a keen understanding of what it takes to work in the field and the many challenges today’s technicians face. He was responsible for Viavi’s top selling HST platform for years with a special focus on making the test platform easier and faster to use. Thad has a BS in Physics and hold an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior to joining Viavi Solutions, Thad served as a Naval Nuclear Submarine Officer.
