Migration to Next Generation Applications

Network managers need rapid deployment and space efficiency to cope with the accelerated need for bandwidth due to increased mobile traffic, big data demands, and other factors.

During this webinar we’ll review network and data center trends influencing next generation data center architectures. We’ll look at standards and technologies driving category 6a, laser optimized multimode fiber (including wide band multimode fiber) and single mode fiber.

NAR Director- Field Application Engineering – CommScope

Steve Schmerber is a Technical Director for CommScope, a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks. He is responsible for the field application engineers based throughout the Central Region. He has been at CommScope since the 1994 acquisition of Avaya and Lucent Technologies, where he had worked in various roles for nine years. At CommScope, Steve had previously served as a territory sales manager before taking on his current role. He has been a BICSI-certified RCDD since 1986, NTS since 2009, and DCDC since 2014. He also welcomes visitors to the Claremont factory with technical updates and migrations strategies discussions. Steve graduated from Texas A&M University in 1985 with a BS in Engineering Technology. He currently lives in Denver, North Carolina, with his family.
