David Hessong graduated from North Carolina State University in 2000 with a degree in Chemical Engineering and from the Kelley School of Business with an MBA in 2014. During his career with Corning Optical Communication he has held the following positions: Process Engineer, Private Network Systems Engineer, Senior Application Engineer for Multi-mode fiber and Flame Rated cable, Manager Private Networks Market Support, Senior Product Specialist in Plug & Play product line management, Product Line Manager Embedded Optics and Manager Global Data Center Market Development.

Dave has published several industry articles and contributed to several IWCS papers. He also served as the Chairman of ICEA-596 Standard for Indoor Cable rewrite. Dave has taught numerous classes and seminars on Data Centers and System design across the United States and Canada.
