The EK628 from Greenlee represents a leap forward for battery-powered 6-ton crimping tools. Rather than weighing 8-10 pounds (3.5-4.5 kg), it weighs only 5 ½ pounds (2.5 kg). It's even lighter than most manual crimping tools.

The EK628 is powered by a 9.6 volt Ni-Cd battery that provides approximately 70 crimps per battery charge, depending on the size of the connector. It uses Greenlee KC22 crimping dies for copper connectors from 8AWG to 600 kcmil and Greenlee KA22 dies for aluminum connectors from 8 AWG to 350 kcmil.
