One Receptacle, Total Protection: Leviton's AGRT1 SmartlockPro® Dual Function AFCI/GFCI Receptacle

Leviton SmartlockPro AGTR1 Dual Function AFCI GFCI

Don’t Take Chances with Safety

According to the National Fire Protection Association, arcing faults start 28,000 home fires in the U.S. every year and the Consumer Product Safety Commission predicts that 50 percent of these fires could be prevented with AFCIs. And in an Electrical Safety Foundation International study, it estimates that GFCIs could prevent nearly 70 percent of the 400 electrocutions in the U.S. every year.

With numbers like these, it’s no surprise that the 2014 National Electrical Code now requires AFCI/GFCI protection in residential kitchen and laundry areas. The first receptacle of its kind available, the SmartlockPro Dual Function AFCI/GFCI Receptacle offers both technologies in one smart device.

Reliable Performance. Easy Installation.

The Dual Function AFCI/GFCI Receptacle is a code compliant option for modifications/extensions of a circuit, replacement receptacles and in certain instances, new construction (see 2014 Code Requirements for details). It can also be used to replace 2-wire non-grounding receptacles where both AFCI and GFCI protection is required. SmartlockPro offers an alternative to a dual-function circuit breaker because it is universally applicable there’s no need to match the circuit breaker in the load center.

For optimal safety, the trip threshold meets or exceeds UL requirements for tripping time on ground faults and parallel arcs. Plus, Leviton’s patented Reset Lockout prevents reset if wired improperly, protection has been compromised or the device is not functioning properly. With the Dual Function AFCI/GFCI Receptacle you have another option to meet the 2014 NEC requirements for AFCI/GFCI protection.
