General Cable GenClean™ Cable Jacketing Technology

General Cable GenClean

General Cable offers GenClean cable jacketing technology as a leading feature on Carol Brand Rubber Cord. It's integrated into a smooth rubber jacket that's ideal for the food and beverage industry, and other applications where portable rubber cord must be highly durable and remain extremely clean. GenClean jackets withstand consistent operation in water temperatures up to 140°F (60°C), and can be washed down in water temperatures up to 212°F (100°C).

In high-stress or harsh industrial environments, the technology can tolerate temperatures from -122°F (-50°C) to 221°F (105°C). GenClean rubber cord jackets are abrasion-, cut-, heat-, flame- and UV sunlight-resistant, as well as resistant to most chemicals. The material has also been tested to remain stable under a variety of solvents.

GenClean technology is designed specifically for rubber portable cord. It includes the General Cable TRU-Mark® Sequential Footage Marking System – product shipped according to lengths ordered for superior partial-reel inventory management, and sequential footage markers printed on the jackets for increased productivity on the job.
