ERITECH® Theft Deterrent Ground Assembly

ERICO Eritech Theft Deterrent Ground Assembly

Copper theft is a significant problem today at many telecommunication sites. Items such as ground bars, ground rods and cables are often targeted by thieves, leaving behind a system that is compromised. This can result in significant downtime and loss of service.

The ERITECH® Theft Deterrent Ground Assembly (TDSGA) by ERICO® is a unique and cost-effective alternative to using conventional bus bars in a grounding system. The system is designed to equalize the surge energy to the tower at the top, middle and bottom locations while offering the electrical conductivity required during the surge event. No copper down lead is necessary to the earth ground ring, helping eliminate the risk of copper theft.

By using the TDSGA pole mount at the shelter entry portal or the equipment entrance, the energy is transferred from the coax to the earth ground ring. This means no copper down lead or bus bar is necessary, which eliminates the opportunity for theft and reduces the chances of costly service interruption.

The ERITECH® TDSGA can be attached to the tower by either a UL approved flat clamp or pipe clamp. When using the post-mount method, two TDSGA post adaptors are necessary.
