Ian Seaton has extensive product development experience in electro-mechanical systems. He serves on the BICSI standards committee responsible for the new data center design manual as editor of the rack and cabinet section and as a thermal consultant to the mechanical working group. He teaches BICSI-accredited data center thermal management courses. Ian has written and spoken extensively on data center thermal management over the past 7+ years. He has a master's degree from California Polytechnic State University.
Eric Klaiber
Corning Data Center Marketing Specialist
For the past seven years, Eric Klaiber has been involved in industries at the forefront of technology. As the data center marketing specialist for Corning Cable Systems, Eric is responsible for implementing the technical aspects of marketing strategy. This includes being the subject matter expert for the TIA-942 Standard and creating marketing strategies using this standard. Eric is also in charge of the Corning Cable Systems webinar program. Prior to this position, Eric spent two years as a field engineer for Corning Cable Systems, where he installed and tested fiber optic systems for Enterprise and Carrier Networks customers. He was responsible for teaching fiber optic training classes and also became a certified instructor for the Fiber Optic Association. This hands-on experience helped him understand the nuances of designing and installing a fiber optic network that performs efficiently, effectively and reliably. Eric has a Bachelor of Science in physics from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa., and a Master of Science Management in project management from Colorado Technical University, Colorado Springs, Colo.

Chip Copper holds a PhD in Distributed Systems and is a frequently requested presenter and consultant in the technology industry discussing how to solve real world business challenges with network, storage, and management tool and infrastructure. As a Global Solutions Architect at Brocade, Chip talks on a number of data center topics including storage, virtualization, infrastructure, emerging technology and next generation data center architecture. With over 30 years of experience in program management and information systems, he has a broad technical background that includes designing and building microprocessor-based controllers, designing operating systems, developing custom languages, producing compilers, specifying and deploying both telecommunications and IP networks, and developing and writing distributed applications on a range of platforms from simple processors to supercomputers. Copper has worked as a consultant to the financial industry and has managed projects from initial concept to deployment.
