Training Seminars

Fiber Optic Connector Solutions and Testing with Fluke Networks

This interactive six-hour session will provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of the latest fiber optic termination and testing technologies. Attendees will work with Corning's fiber optic connector termination kits and Fluke Network's latest fiber optic test equipment.

Students will receive expert instruction on termination of both multimode and single-mode fibers with SC, ST® compatible and LC connectors when installing fiber optics systems to meet industry specifications.

Outside Plant Installation for Enterprise Networks

This interactive six-hour session will provide installers with a comprehensive overview of the latest fiber optic cable, hardware, termination methods, and testing technologies used in outside plant (OSP) application space. This hands-on training will allow students to work with Corning’s fiber optic cable, hardware, connector termination kits, and Fluke Network’s latest fiber optic test equipment.

Students will receive expert instruction on the outside plant (OSP) space along with an opportunity to use products discussed in a hands-on fiber optic system build.

Inside Plant Installation for Enterprise Networks

This interactive six-hour session will provide installers with a comprehensive overview of the latest fiber optic cable, hardware, termination methods, and testing technologies used in the building backbone application space. This hands-on training will allow students to work with Corning’s fiber optic cable, hardware, connector termination kits, and Fluke Network’s latest fiber optic test equipment.

Introduction to Fiber Optics

Three-hour Class. Basic Fiber 101 and Cable Selection. Updated material to provide basic fiber optic fundamentals. This class is being designed to be presented by a pioneer or taught directly by sales if requested.

Data Center Fundamentals

This interactive six-hour session will provide insights into designing for increasingly complex data centers. We will address new architectures such as “spine and leaf” and solutions that support migration to 40 and 100 Gigabits per second.

We will discuss standards such as TIA-942 and -606, IEEE 802.3 and ANSI T11, and use these standards to design a data center, while introducing the Corning Pretium EDGE® HD solution and how those products fit within that design. Finally, we will review necessary testing to certify and troubleshoot your network.
