Senior Sales Representative Brad Wilson

Brad Wilson Senior Sales Representative Graybar Denver

Graybar contacted me through the Industrial Distribution program at the University of Nebraska about a possible sales position opening. I was interested in the Colorado area since I have family here, and Denver is only a short drive from my hometown in Nebraska. The branch manager in Denver contacted me shortly thereafter to discuss the opportunity. At the time, I was pretty green to the corporate world. Growing up as an electrical contractor’s son, I heard good things about the company. I also heard good things through a competitor I worked for in college.

I chose Graybar because they seem to have a great culture. Our employee ownership business model and benefits package put us above and beyond our competitors. Long-term careers with Graybar pay off, considerably.

The greatest opportunity I have been given so far is the chance to start on the sales staff immediately. Without this chance, I could not have proven myself as a sales representative and as an employee. The branch manager gave me a list of house accounts, and from there, my success depended on efficient use of my resources and abilities. As a sales representative, I have the ability to incorporate my own thoughts and ideas to handle customers, and I have a support system unlike any of our competitors.

I stay connected with Graybar through the Phoenix District’s monthly newsletter and other periodicals such as Graybar’s employee magazine to stay current with companywide initiatives.
