Lighting Controls

Because office buildings have a general set time of occupancy, time scheduling can be an excellent first step in energy savings with lighting controls. Simply shutting the lights off at a set time and scheduling them to turn on just before the first occupant arrives can reduce energy costs. Occupancy sensors for individual offices, bathrooms, storage areas and conference rooms can provide energy lighting cost savings of 25 to 75 percent. Dimmers and daylight dimming can extend the life of your bulbs by shutting off or dimming lighting during the day, which in turn reduces your facility maintenance.
