A square trunk furcation plug integrates inside the hardware and eliminates the often time-consuming task of rotating the trunks; a snap-on trunk cradle allows one-handed strain relief operation. In addition, you can install Pretium EDGE Solutions modules via the front or rear of the housings, whichever is most efficient. The modules contain an LC shutter — no dust caps required — and both LC connectors offer one-hand access. Slide-out modules also allow ample finger access. MACs are bound to happen — but they need to happen fast, without disrupting the data center's daily operation. The solution? Pretium EDGE Solutions allow 25 percent faster MACs that keep the network up and running, while quickly updating.

Pretium EDGE Solutions offer an industry-leading hardware design with housings containing individually sliding trays (three trays per 1U of space) into which the modules are loaded, making it easier and less time-consuming to add trunk cables during MACs. Each shelf has separate routing guides for easy management and access when adding new jumpers or rerouting existing ones. There's ample finger room, easing connector access and jumper movement.

Also, a universal wiring scheme enables MACs without polarity concerns. Pretium EDGE Reverse Polarity Uniboot Jumpers provide quick and easy polarity management in three easy steps with no tooling requirements. Pretium EDGE trunks are an average of 30 percent smaller, with a minimum bend radius of five times the outer diameter (OD) of the cable (compared to ten times the OD in traditional trunks). The result: more than 50 percent more cables can be stored in cable trays. In addition, jumpers are 50 percent smaller and offer a minimum bend radius of eight times the cable outer diameter.

The 4U housing has industry-leading density with room for 576 fibers; 2U housing holds 288 and the 1U housing holds 96 fibers. Also, modules are significantly smaller with four modules fitting into only one-third U of rack space. 4U housing contains 24 cable integration positions, which can be double-stacked for 48 12-fiber cables or 16 larger-fiber-count trunks.
